Tactical Vest

When considering the way you're going to carry your blasters, ammo and accessories, purchasing a tactical vest may be a great option. Vests offer a large space to attach pouches and pockets, that can be adjusted and arranged for the most comfortable and efficient way to reload your weapons and carry your stuff.

The vest pictured above, and the vest that I prefer to use in foam battles, including Humans vs. Zombies is the Matrix Systems High Speed Combat Simulation Vest. This vest uses a CIRAS base orientation and has the ability to add MOLLE attachments. I have used this vest for airsoft in the past, and it works great for certain foam weapons as well. Most notably, blasters that use Clip System darts and magazines are my favorite to use with this vest, as the vest is capable of holding four 18-round magazines, a six round magazine, a 35 round Raider drum, and then still has space for extra darts, a radio, and a hydration pack.

The vest uses a velcro strap system to secure it to its user's body, and therefore allows this vest to be quickly attached and detached. This is incredibly useful during foam battles, as you may overheat or in the case of HvZ, become a zombie. Then, taking your gear off quickly and continuing to play is important. This vest is fairly lightweight, but can become heavy after a full day of games, and is not recommended for people may not be able to support a lot of weight on their upper torso, or have difficulty bearing weight on their shoulders.

This particular vest is great at retaining freedom of movement in the arms, and allows for much faster reload times and higher ammo capacity. Unlike the Nerf Tactical Vest, the Matrix Systems vest hold magazines extremely well, and running at top speed will not cause magazines to fall out, or drop darts. Additionally, the Matrix Systems vest has space for a hydration pack built in, allowing players to hydrate while on the go, freeing up valuable space and keeping from players from overheating too quickly. Unfortunately, this vest does not have a super cool sword sheath, like the Nerf Vest.

The Matrix Systems High Speed Combat Simulation Vest can be purchased exclusively at Evike.com for $70.
