Custom Blaster Review: Zombat Recon

One of my favorite blasters is my Zombat Recon. One of my most unique looking blasters, it is styled after a CQB M4, utilizing a folding stock, shortened barrel, and integrated foregrip.

Tactical Vest

When considering the way you're going to carry your blasters, ammo and accessories, purchasing a tactical vest may be a great option. Vests offer a large space to attach pouches and pockets, that can be adjusted and arranged for the most comfortable and efficient way to reload your weapons and carry your stuff.

Custom Blaster Review: LS 2000

A project that I began three years ago was the LS 2000, or Longshot 2000 Nerf Sniper. At this point, the Raider, Stampede, Longstrike, Barricade, Deploy, and all new Dart Tag and Vortex blasters had not been invented. So we got creative with our Longshots.

Opinion: The Foam Shotgun

Foam shotguns are interesting blasters. They can be awesome tools when playing Humans vs. Zombies when large hordes are approaching and are great in indoor CQB battles. However, shotguns run the potential to loose two important factors in a battle; range and accuracy.

Custom Blaster Review: Nerf SR-6

One of the great things about Nerf Recons is how customizable they are. Featuring three tactical rails, a realistic magazine release, and a stock attachment, Recons are one of the best platforms for custom modification. My Nerf Sniper Recon-6 takes a Recon, Longshot and Raider and throws them together to create a truly unique blaster.

One Amazing Holster

One of the coolest looking, and by far the most versitile holster for Nerf blasters and accessories is the "Grab-It Pack Gadget Holster" by ThinkGeek. Although seemingly simple and maybe a bit overpriced, it will prove itself extremely useful in every kind of foam blaster battle.

Recon Slide Bolt

A great addition to your recon is a horizontal bolt on the slide. Horizontal bolts are featured on many real firearms, as well as many replica airsoft guns. Why not then build one yourself for your Nerf blaster? A horizontal bolt is any mechanism attached to the slide of your blaster that will be strong enough to move the slide.

Tactical Magazines (Clips)

One of the most crucial things to consider when purchasing and modifying a Nerf blaster is how your darts will feed into the blaster. Three years ago, before 18-round clips and drums and raider drums were available, we had to get creative with the 6-round clips that were available. Using a bit of cardboard and some duct tape, I made my original tactical magazine.
